Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Ensiglo platform operated by DB Island Inc. It applies to everyone who uses the Platform — Providers, Customers, and visitors — and forms part of, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service.

We built Ensiglo to help genuine small businesses get online. To keep it safe and trustworthy for everyone, the activities and content described below are not permitted. Breaking these rules may lead to content removal, suspension, or termination of your account, and where appropriate, referral to law-enforcement or regulatory authorities.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not create, upload, publish, or link to any content that:

• Is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity, in any jurisdiction where it is published or viewed
• Advertises or sells prohibited or regulated goods without the required licences — including illegal drugs or controlled substances, alcohol or tobacco, weapons, explosives, or counterfeit or stolen goods
• Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise adult in nature, or promotes escort/sexual services
• Promotes or facilitates gambling where doing so is unlawful or unlicensed
• Is hateful, harassing, threatening, or incites violence or discrimination against any person or group
• Exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors in any way
• Is defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive, or infringes another party's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights
• Contains malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Platform to:

• Impersonate any person or business, or misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or the nature of your business
• Create pages for a business that does not genuinely exist, or to mislead customers about what you offer
• Send spam or unsolicited bulk communications, or harvest contact details for such purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data, or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform
• Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Platform, its servers, or networks, including via bots, scrapers, or denial-of-service techniques
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security, authentication, or content-moderation features
• Manipulate bookings, reviews, analytics, or other Platform features for deceptive or fraudulent purposes
• Use the Platform to launder money, evade sanctions, or process payments for prohibited goods or services

4. Content Moderation

Free-text and images submitted through the Platform are subject to automated and, where necessary, manual moderation. We may refuse to publish, or may remove, any content that we reasonably believe violates this AUP, our Terms, or applicable law — with or without prior notice. We are not obligated to monitor all content but reserve the right to do so.

5. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior on the Platform that you believe violates this AUP, please report it to [email protected] with the page address (URL) and a description of the issue. We investigate reports and take action where appropriate.

6. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in one or more of the following, at our discretion and proportionate to the violation: a warning; removal or unpublishing of content; suspension or termination of your account; forfeiture of fees; and, where required by law or to protect others, disclosure to and cooperation with law-enforcement or regulatory authorities.

We apply this policy in good faith and, where practical, aim to give notice and an opportunity to remedy a violation — except where the violation is serious, unlawful, or poses a risk to others, in which case we may act immediately.
