Cookie Policy
Ensiglo uses only the cookies it needs to work. We don't run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't sell or share your browsing for marketing.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. "First-party" cookies are set by Ensiglo itself; we use no third-party cookies.
The cookies we set
All of the following are first-party and strictly necessary:
- Session cookie (ensiglo-session) — keeps you signed in and maintains your session as you move between pages. Expires when your session ends.
- Device identifier (eid) — a random first-party id that lets us link the seals you make to your device (so anonymous seals still have an owner) and record verification activity. It contains no personal information.
- Security token (XSRF-TOKEN) — protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
Related on-device storage
To make the app work we also use your browser's local storage (which isn't a cookie) for small, on-device things — for example remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice, and keeping thumbnails of your own seals in your "My Seals" list. This stays on your device and is never uploaded to us.
What we don't use
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No third-party analytics or cross-site tracking.
- No cookies that sell or share your activity.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because the cookies above are essential, blocking them will stop you from signing in or using core features of Ensiglo.
Changes
If our cookie use changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date. See also our Privacy Policy.
