1. About the Referral Programme

The Ensiglo Referral Programme lets any merchant with a live page (a "Referrer") invite other businesses (each a "Referred Business") to Ensiglo. When a business you refer joins and publishes a live page, you unlock a discount on your OWN custom domain — for example, 50% off your first year of a .co.za web address. The programme is referrer-only: the Referred Business does not need to earn anything to take part. It is operated by DB Island Inc. ("we", "us"), operating as Ensiglo.

These terms form part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service. By sharing a referral link or entering a referral code you agree to these terms.

2. Who can take part

Every merchant with an Ensiglo account automatically has a unique referral link and code. A Referred Business simply enters your code (or arrives through your link) during sign-up and publishes their page — they do not need to earn anything to join. Arriving only through the "powered by Ensiglo" badge, with no explicit referral code, does not count toward anyone.

3. How the domain discount works

Refer one business that joins and goes live, and you unlock a discount on your own custom domain. The size of the discount depends on the web address: for example, 50% off a .co.za or .co.uk, and a smaller percentage on certain other domains. The exact discount for your region is shown before you pay.

• The discount is applied automatically at domain checkout — the first year of your domain is charged at the reduced price.
• It is a discount on a paid upgrade, not a free product: you still buy and own your domain, and it renews each year at the standard price.

The discount can be used once. It applies to the domain price only, and never reduces the charge below the domain's cost.

4. When a referral counts

A Referred Business counts once their page is live. Signing up alone does not count. Referring yourself, or referring fake or duplicate businesses, does not count.

5. Using your discount

Once unlocked, your discount is applied automatically the next time you buy a custom domain through Ensiglo — you do not need a code. It is used once, on one domain purchase.

The discount is non-cashable. It only reduces the price of a domain you buy. It is never paid out, never transferred to another account or person, and never exchanged for cash.

6. Reversal

If a referred page is removed before you have used your discount, the unlock may be reversed. A discount already applied to a domain purchase is not clawed back.

7. Fair use

The programme rewards genuine referrals of real, independent businesses. You may not refer yourself, create fake or duplicate accounts, or use the programme in any misleading, automated, or fraudulent way. We may withhold, reverse, or cancel a discount, and suspend participation, where we reasonably believe the programme is being abused.

8. Changes and ending the programme

We may change, pause, or end the Referral Programme — including the discount percentages — at any time. Changes apply from the date they take effect and do not remove a discount you have already validly earned and not yet used, except as described under fair use.
